An Tobar Gallery Re-Opening 2020
COLONY by Yulia Kovanova has reopened from Saturday 15 August.
Entry by pre-booked appointment.
The islands of the West Coast of Scotland lie on the important migratory routes of a number of bird species. The world’s long-distance migratory champion, the Arctic tern, flies all the way from the Arctic to the Antarctic, and back again each year.
It is this singular journey, that lies at the centre of COLONY by visual artist Yulia Kovanova. A celebration of ever-dependable animal endurance in the face of a world broken up by human boundaries and a rapidly shifting ecology.
Yulia’s exhibition will run until mid-October.
