Emergence: Introducing Ashley Smith and Simon Donaldson

We are delighted to introduce Ashley Smith and Simon Donaldson

Ashley Smith
Ashley trained at the RCS and graduated in 2008. Since then she has worked extensively in theatre, touring shows throughout the UK as well as to America and Singapore. She has worked with many companies including The National Theatre of Scotland, Grid Iron, the Traverse theatre, Catherine wheels and Oran Mor.

She has recently co-founded a circus theatre company called Sonder Circus and is currently developing their debut show Cailleach which combines aerial disciplines with a reimagining of Celtic mythology, as well as original music inspired by the folklore. 
She is best known for her recurring role as PC Jane McKay in the comedy series Scot Squad which is filming its sixth series this year.
Ashley is delighted to be working with Mull Theatre on these two new plays, she has toured with shows here several times over the years and is looking forward this time to creating the work here too! 

Simon Donaldson
Simon is overjoyed to be working with Mull Theatre on this exciting project. Trained at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland Simon has worked consistently in theatre and radio drama in Scotland and further afield, including performing on Broadway and at The Sydney Opera House. At drama school he won the Carlton Hobbes Radio Drama award and has appeared in over 60 radio plays to date.
