Beth Morton, Theatre Associate Director
Beth grew up in a small Lancashire town and has lived in Chester, York and Helsinki before finally settling in Scotland. She is a director and theatre maker, and Mull Theatre Associate Director. Her collaborative artistic process as a theatre maker often sees her developing original work in partnership with writers and other creatives and she strives to create distinct worlds within which characters, ideas and stories can exist. Her directing work has been critically acclaimed including her hit 2018 production of Gary McNair’s reimagined After The Cuts, which played to sold out audiences. Beth is also an associate artist with Raw Material and the Beacon Arts Centre and has worked over the years with, most notably, Tron Theatre, MacRobert Arts Centre, In Motion, Oran Mor, Manchester Royal Exchange, Theatre Royal Stratford East and National Theatre of Scotland.
Often seen cutting about in cowboy boots, Beth splits her time between her natural habitat in Glasgow and her sanctuary at Mull Theatre.
When she is not pottering about in the garden listening to the blues and country music she's probably getting competitive playing a board game.
