26 year old Edinburgh-born singer/songwriter Adam Holmes is one of the brightest rising stars on the UK roots music scene with influences from either side of the Atlantic, mixing traditional and contemporary folk with his own brand of soul and Americana.
Adam and his band have featured widely on live sessions for BBC Radio 2 and Radio 3, BBC Scotland, Edith Bowman’s BBC Scotland Quay Sessions show and Virgin Radio amongst many others, and they have appeared at festivals and gigs throughout the UK and Europe.
2017 has already seen Adam appear at the opening concert at Celtic Connection as a guest of Laura Marling, a sell-out band gig at Oran Mor as part of the same festival and also a short sell-out band tour in England.
Aside from work with The Embers, he is touring the UK this year as special guest to Eddi Reader and as the featured singer in John McCusker’s live band plus he has been working on studio and live collaborations with members of Lau, The Unthanks, Portishead and Mogwai.
