Gordon Maclean, Creative Director, Music & Literature

Gordon has always been involved in music including a spell in legendary Edinburgh folk band Jock Tamson's Bairns. After moving back to Mull in the late 70s he worked on fishing boats for years followed by a decade working on the roads across Argyll, often driving a vintage road roller.

Gordon built a log house on the Ross of Mull where his two children grew up and started working at An Tobar in the late 90s. He's still doing the day job and outside of that he enjoys playing in bands with Dougie MacLean, King Creosote, Roddy Woomble and Iain Morrison. Gordon was recently promoted to Grandad!
